Nassau County Supreme Court Judge Thomas Rademaker decided Monday Governor Kathy Hochul and Health Commissioner Mary Bassett overstepped their bounds in December by implementing a mandate requiring all residents to wear face masks in public spaces when New York was no longer in a state of emergency, CNN reported. Rademaker called the mandate “a law that was promulgated and enacted unlawfully by an executive branch state agency, and therefore void and unenforceable,” according to the AP....

The study involved 175 people, with an average age of 52. These participants, who had two or more risk factors for cardiovascular disease, filled out a questionnaire about what they ate per day, including vegetables. They also had their genes mapped. Researchers looked at which copies of the TAS2R38 taste gene they inherited. People with the AVI variant aren’t known to taste bitterness when they encounter certain chemicals found in vegetables....

This was pointed out by Reddit user Sikayduh, who received a 10 day extension on their PS Plus subscription that was originally scheduled to expire on December 25. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) was alerted to reports of a person, later revealed to be suspect Joseph Tippet, 36, with a gun at the 400 block of South Reynolds, in Cañon City, on Friday, January 6.
