The history of The Haunting is, ironically, just as complicated as Abandoned, just without the viral online community watching every second. The Haunting was described by Blue Box as a love letter to the Fatal Frame franchise, with the player using a camera to hunt ghosts and solve puzzles. However, during The Haunting’s development Blue Box was very inexperienced and still learning. As such, it launched The Haunting into Early Access on Steam despite it still being in an alpha state – completely unfinished....

The introduction to Pokemon gaming brought the three lovable starters — Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle — while the alternate version of Pokemon Yellow included mascot Pokemon Pikachu as its starter. In recent years, Sony bolstered its capabilities through the acquisitions of major development studios such as Firesprite, Bluepoint Games, and Haven Studios. Additionally, Sony invested into avenues outside of traditional game development such as esports and video streaming content. The acquisiton of Repeat.gg is the most recent purchase by Sony, and it’s the second major esports purchase following the acquisition of EVO last year. Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan said the string of acquisitions is “not at all finished,” and the company is expected to make noteworthy partnerships between brands in the process....

The University of Notre Dame recently announced that it will require students to get a COVID-19 booster shot in order to keep their fully vaccinated status. The school required that all students be fully vaccinated before arriving on campus in the fall, although officials allowed for medical or religious exemptions. A user over on Reddit has claimed to have received such a message on their console detailing what will happen to their remaining Gold subscription should they choose to redeem the 5 free months of Xbox Game Pass. For those that do receive the message from Microsoft, it appears that one’s remaining Gold time will carry over on a 1:1 basis. For example, if someone has 18 months left on their Gold subscription, they will have a total of 23 months of Game Pass Ultimate after redeeming the code....

Comparisons to that game have been made ever since Sonic Frontiers was first rumored to be open-world, with those early rumors claiming it was taking inspiration from Nintendo’s seminal 2017 classic. It certainly didn’t help dispel that notion when the game was finally unveiled with a focus on a vast grassy environment with an aura of mystery, one that wouldn’t look out of place in Breath of the Wild’s verdant and ancient version of Hyrule....
