The Middlesex District Attorney's office said on Saturday that it has charged Jared Remy with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for Thursday's attack. Authorities say the son of Boston Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy is now being held in solitary confinement. He is expected to be arraigned on the new case on April 24 in Cambridge District Court. Everybody’s favorite blue hedgehog, Sonic, has been making one strong comeback these past few months. Sonic Generations was a return to form for the blue bomber (check out our review) and that new-found success has apparently prepared the speedster for what has to be his biggest challenge yet – insurance. Yes, apparently Sonic is teaming with Progressive to assist them in selling coverage of all types to the uninsured masses....
Well, fear not, Sonic Team has come to a conclusion. Sonic Color’s Producer recently had this to say in an interview with Spong: I believe this has been the problem Sonic Team has had for the past several years. Once Mario and the other video game giants began hogging all the spotlight, Sonic Team struggled to keep Sonic relevant, and it unfortunately led to some pretty crappy games. Iizuka believes that “the team can think of ways to evolve Sonic, while keeping the fundamentals of attitude and speed”....
Sonic has already had several entries specifically made to celebrate his past. The 2011 Sonic Generations was meant to coincide with Sonic’s 20th anniversary, while Sonic Mania also served as a major celebration of Sonic’s first few outings. Attempts at recapturing the past and pushing games forward have been alternating for a long time, and Sonic Frontiers looks to be another attempt at trying something new. Even so, it can’t resist adding callbacks to classic stages like Green Hill Zone or Sonic Unleashed’s Windmill Isle....
To clarify, Sonic’s feet have been shown before, just never in any canon instances. Considering the fiasco revolving around the movie’s original design of Sonic, it’s probably safe to say that the movie isn’t canon either and will, therefore, be another non-canon appearance of Sonic’s feet if it decides to go that route. In fact, Takashi Iizuka – the vice president of product development for Sonic the Hedgehog – commented about Sonic not taking his shoes by simply saying, “Sonic doesn’t take off his shoes (in canon)....
Of course, this is far from Sonic the Hedgehog’s first time gracing the pages of a comic book. Sega’s blue mascot originally appeared in an episodic series of issues from Archie Comics that ran from 1993 to 2016. At the end of 2020, many developers including Silent Hill and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama announced that they would be leaving Japan Studio, with many moving to Toyama’s new team, Bokeh Game Studio. Gaming site Tweak Town recently unearthed a ledger from Sony Interactive Entertainment’s exports that details 700kgs worth of video game console prototypes. This 4-carton package was shipped on November 16, 2021 from Sony’s headquarters in London to Norfolk Virginia, although exactly why it has landed in Virginia remains a mystery. PlayStation’s main headquarters currently sits in San Mateo, California, so it is likely Virginia was just a stop along the journey to the west coast....
