Diablo Immortal’s launch week seemed to be off to an interesting start. Though some of the game’s servers, particularly in Southeast Asia, were not available yet during the June 2 release date, Diablo Immortal launched early on mobile devices. This gave mobile gamers who were not able to join the beta testing the chance to finally check out the game, battle system, and other features. However, it has been less than a week since its launch, and Diablo Immortal is already suffering a lot of issues that Blizzard definitely needs to fix and address.

On the Diablo Immortal subreddit, user FamousWrongdoer started a thread that shared how they booted up their game only to find that their resource packs seemed to have magically disappeared. These resource packs are needed before beginners can start playing Diablo Immortal, and often have large file sizes due to the amount of information they contain. The community can only imagine the Redditor’s frustration in having to download these files again just so they can continue where they left off in their playthrough. According to FamousWrongdoer, they have tried several times to use the in-game client repair option but have not had any luck in getting their game fixed.

One of the replies on the Redditor’s thread shared that this bug happened to them when they cleared the game’s cache on their device. They fixed the problem when they re-downloaded the whole game again. Unfortunately, it seems like FamousWrongdoer is not the only Diablo Immortal player that is missing their resource packs. There are several other threads in the subreddit that are talking about the same Diablo Immortal issue. As of the moment, the most common fix is for players to re-download Diablo Immortal on their devices.

With Blizzard facing a lot of issues in Diablo Immortal beyond quality-of-life fixes, the devs may take some time in coming out with patch updates to help resolve these problems. Hopefully the team acts fast, and that other members in the game’s community will not find their resource packs missing. Players can only keep downloading 8-10GB of files before they give up in frustration.

Diablo Immortal is available on Mobile and PC.
