Developed by Raiser Games, Song of Horror is, as the name aptly suggests, a survival horror game which is now coming to PS4 and Xbox One at the end of May, a source indicates. Already released on PC back in 2019, on Halloween of all days, the game takes cues from some classics in the genre, such as Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Fatal Frame.

From the opening sequence recalling the likes of the original Alone in The Dark, or a cursed doll that likely takes inspiration from the likes of Clock Tower, it seems as though the game wishes to evoke a sense of nostalgia by paying tribute to the games that came before it. The game seeks to blend old-style horror gameplay with new aesthetics and new scares.

Song of Horror centers on the disappearance of writer Sebastian P. Husher and take control of Husher’s editor who sets out to find where he is, only to discover that a dark entity known as The Presence is responsible. The game has already gone down as one of the most underrated horror games of the last few years.

Song of Horror will be coming to PS4 and Xbox on May 28th. The PC version is already available on Steam.
